Lumière – Full-Stack E-commerce Platform
Lumière is an advanced full-stack e-commerce web platform developed as an individual project. The application features a dynamic customizer that allows shoppers to configure jewelry materials and gemstones in real time with client-side state management. It includes a complete, secure checkout pipeline connecting the frontend cart state to a serverless API that writes relational Order and OrderItem records to a Neon PostgreSQL database via Prisma ORM, protected role-based routes with NextAuth.js, and an internal Admin Portal calculating real-time revenue and inventory metrics.
Problem & Motivation
Bespoke luxury e-commerce requires real-time visual customizer tools, seamless relational transaction processing for orders, and protected administrative tools to monitor inventory and sales metrics in real time.
The Solution & Architecture
Built a modern full-stack web application leveraging Next.js 14, Zustand for client state, NextAuth.js for role-based authentication, and Prisma ORM on a Neon PostgreSQL database for reliable order persistence.
Key System Features
- Real-Time Jewelry Customizer: Interactive gemstone and metal configuration using dynamic image mapping.
- Relational Order & Checkout Pipeline: Transactional processing writing Order and OrderItem records to PostgreSQL via Prisma ORM.
- Protected Admin Dashboard: Role-based authorization via NextAuth.js middleware with revenue, AOV, and inventory analytics.
- Modern State Architecture: Smooth shopping cart experience and state persistence powered by Zustand.
My Role & Key Contributions
- 1Dynamic Customizer: Engineered a dynamic customizer allowing users to configure jewelry materials and gemstones in real-time, utilizing dynamic image mapping and client-side state management.
- 2Secure Checkout Pipeline: Built a complete, secure checkout pipeline connecting the frontend cart state to a serverless API, safely writing relational Order and OrderItem records to a Neon PostgreSQL database via Prisma.
- 3Role-Based Access Control: Implemented secure role-based access control using NextAuth.js, creating protected middleware routes for an exclusive Admin Dashboard.
- 4Internal Admin Portal: Developed an internal Admin Portal that queries real-time database metrics to calculate total revenue, average order value, and inventory alerts.
Result & Outcome
Engineered an interactive, highly responsive e-commerce web application with real-time product customizer capabilities, robust relational data pipelines, and a protected administrative metrics portal.
