Enlear HRMS – Cloud-Based Human Resource Management System
Enlear HRMS is a comprehensive cloud-native human resource management system developed as a Second Year Software Project in industry collaboration with Enlear (Pvt) Ltd. The platform automates enterprise human resource workflows, featuring end-to-end leave management across Admin, Manager, and Employee roles, dynamic calendar interfaces with Sri Lankan public holiday synchronization via AWS Lambda, and seamless two-way Google Calendar integration for approved leaves and company events.
Problem & Motivation
Traditional HR processes often rely on fragmented spreadsheets and manual approval cycles for attendance, leave management, and scheduling, leading to administrative bottlenecks and delayed organizational communication.
The Solution & Architecture
In collaboration with Enlear (Pvt) Ltd, engineered an event-driven serverless architecture using Next.js App Router, AWS Amplify, GraphQL APIs via AWS AppSync, and Amazon DynamoDB. Integrated Google Calendar API for synchronized scheduling and automated Sri Lankan public holiday synchronization via AWS Lambda.
Key System Features
- End-to-End Leave Workflows: Granular leave policies, balance tracking, cancellation flows, and Compensatory Off integration.
- Interactive Calendar: Direct leave requesting from calendar grid dates with automated Sri Lankan public holiday sync.
- Google Calendar Integration: Automated two-way synchronization for approved leaves and company events.
- Role-Based Dashboards: Dedicated interfaces and permissions for Admin, Manager, and Employee tiers via AWS Cognito.
- Serverless Architecture: High-scalability backend powered by AWS Lambda, AWS AppSync (GraphQL), and Amazon DynamoDB.
My Role & Key Contributions
- 1Leave Management: Developed end-to-end leave workflows across Admin, Manager, and Employee roles, including leave policy configurations, balance tracking, cancellation flows, manager review/approval processes, and Compensatory Off leave integration.
- 2Interactive Calendar & Holiday Sync: Built responsive calendar views across all dashboards enabling direct leave requests from grid dates, alongside automated Sri Lankan public holiday synchronization via AWS Lambda.
- 3Google Calendar Synchronization: Implemented Google Calendar integration with automatic two-way synchronization for approved leave requests as well as company event creation, updates, and deletions.
- 4Cloud & API Architecture: Engineered scalable cloud services using AWS Amplify, AWS AppSync GraphQL, DynamoDB, AWS Cognito authentication, and Vitest for unit testing.
Result & Outcome
Delivered a responsive, production-ready serverless HRMS platform that eliminates server maintenance overhead and centralizes enterprise leave administration with real-time calendar synchronization.
